Competitive Team Official Certification Requirements

2018 WMSC COMPETITIVE TEAM OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

Competitive Team Officials are required to meet standards set by Ontario Soccer and Waterloo United.  The following details the requirement for our Competitive Level Coaches.  For more information regarding coaching certification, please visit Ontario Soccer.

U9 – U12 COACHES
WMSC Volunteer Application – Power Up  (for each season) Vulnerable Sector Check (Valid for 2 years)
Learn To Train (In-person) Respect in Soccer (Online, valid for 5 years)
Making Ethical Decisions (Online AND In-Class) Making Headway In Soccer/sport (Online, valid for 5 years)

** NOTE: The previous “Senior Community Certificate” (Child, Youth, and Senior) are no longer valid, as of January 1st, 2017 **


U13 – U21 COACHES (DISTRICT LEVEL)
WMSC Volunteer Application – Power Up  (for each season) Vulnerable Sector Check (Valid for 2 years)
Soccer For Life (In-Class) Respect in Soccer (Online, valid for 5 years)
Making Ethical Decisions (Online AND In-Class) Making Headway In Soccer/sport (Online, valid for 5 years)
* U13 – U14 REGIONAL HEAD COACHES ONLY * (in addition to above)
  • Ontario Soccer C Licence (In-Person Course) **Coaches must present their Soccer for Life OR Learn to Train certificate in addition to their proof of Respect in Soccer, Make Ethical Decisions and Making Head Way – Soccer Concussion E-Learning Module
  • MED Online Evaluation (Online Course)

U9 – U21 All Managers

CERTIFICATION SUBMISSION AND REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS

All documentation will be submitted, by email, to Reid Calder. All team officials will be reimbursed for completing updated certifications. Please complete a WMSC Expense Claim form and submit it along with copies of receipts to Reid Calder.
