Frequently Asked Questions

I have registered but have never used the online program. Do I need to create a new account?
No. If you have been previously registered with WMSC (either online or in person) you will already have a family account. Follow the steps to reset your password using the email you have used for past registrations.

I don’t know/have forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten/don’t know your password follow the steps to change your password using the primary email address you have registered with in the past.  If your email has changed since you last registered online or previously in person, please contact the office for assistance prior to creating a new account.

How is payment made?
Online payments may be made by Visa, Mastercard or Visa Debit. For those who chose the ‘Pay at Office” feature, payments will be accepted by Cash, Cheque, Debit or financial assistance and must be submitted with 3 business days or the stated registration deadline (whichever comes first). Players will not be permitted to participate until full payment has been received.

Is any kind of financial assistance available?
Those who feel they require financial assistance with their registration are welcome to apply to the City of Waterloo Fee Assistance Program, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program, or KidSport.

When does the season begin?
The Youth Recreational seasons generally begins early in May and run through to August depending on the age group.
The Indoor Recreational Program begins in October after Thanksgiving and runs until March Break depending on the age group.

If something unforeseen happens, can I get a refund of my registration fee?
Requests for refunds must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available on our website. Please allow 4 weeks for a refund cheque to be processed. A $40.00 administrative fee will be assessed on all/any refunds. Please see our website for more information.

How and when will I be contacted if I have registered?
Once teams and schedules have been finalized, your child’s coach will contact you by telephone or email. It is critical you provide a telephone number and valid email address upon registration. If you have not been contacted by roughly a week before the beginning of the season, please contact the Waterloo Minor Soccer Club office 519-578-9680.

Is it possible to request that my child be placed on a specific team?
Please refer to our House League Teammate Request Policy. Should you have special circumstances or medical conditions that merit special consideration, please provide a note in writing with your completed registration.

What equipment must I provide for my child to play soccer?
The Club provides a complete uniform (shirt, shorts, and socks) for the outdoor recreational program and a jersey only for indoor. Shin guards are mandatory for all ages and all programs indoor and outdoor. For the Summer Outdoor Season running shoes are permitted for Soccer Fun only – outdoor soccer cleats are required for all other ages.. For the Indoor Seasons cleats are not to be worn, running shoes or indoor turf shoes can be used. No item of jewellery is permitted on the field – earrings must be removed. Taping of earrings is not permitted.

How can I volunteer?
There are many ways you can be involved in helping your children enjoy their soccer experience. If you are interested in volunteering please complete a Volunteer Application Form and return it to the soccer office.
