Coaching Travel Teams in Waterloo

Long Term Player Development and Coaching Waterloo Minor Soccer Club will be hosting the Learn To Train coaching clinic Feb. 22, 2014.  Course participants must be 16 years at the time of the course. Registration is done through the OSA’s website.

Requirements and Recommendations 2014

Coaches and Assistant Coaches who have completed the old Community Certificate (Senior) need to only complete the Respect in Soccer course to coach in the 2014 season.

New Coaches and Assistant in 2014 of teams that compete in the one of the following designated levels of competition

  • Senior Outdoor League Level 1 to League Level 5
  • Senior Indoor League Level 1 to Level 5
  • Senior Futsal League Level 1 to Level 5
  • Ontario Cup Competition Youth and Senior (Outdoor, Indoor and Futsal)
  • Youth Outdoor League Level 1 to Level 5
  • Mini Soccer Outdoor League Level 5
  • Youth Indoor League Level 1 to Level 5
  • Youth Futsal League Level 1 to Level 5

will be required to complete the appropriate coaching course within the new community coaching pathway.

Coaches of teams with players U9 – U12 Male & Female

    • Completion of Respect in Soccer plus ”Learn To Train” course with MED (Make Ethical Decisions) or Completion of the previous “Senior Community Certificate” (Child, Youth and Senior)

      Coaches of teams with players 13+ and older Male & Female

    • Completion of Respect in Soccer plus “Soccer or Life” course with MED (Make Ethical Decisions) or Completion of the previous “Senior Community Certificate” (Child, Youth and Senior)

Respect In Soccer

All competitive-level coaches must complete the “Respect in Soccer” program .
